Auditions: Cats - Harbor Playhouse

Get ready for the most popular Broadway musical of all time - CATS! Based on the works of T.S. Eliot, CATS remains a true musical theater phenomenon. If you live in the Coastal Bend AND want to promote local filmmaking programs OR are a local filmmaker OR have ever wanted to make a film, then don't miss this great opportunity.  The Austin Film Society's Director of Artist Services Bryan Poyser will present a free informational workshop about AFS's Texas Filmmakers' Production Fund, which annually offers grants of up to $15,000 to Texas filmmakers, on Sunday, May 17th. He will take participants through the application form step-by-step and screen work samples from successful applications.

Islander Film Festival

The Third Annual Islander Film Festival will be held on Saturday, May 2nd, at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (Bay Hall 103) at 7:00 p.m. The Islander Film Festival is a compilation of Coastal Bend filmmakers’ work as they come together to showcase their films, share their stories and compete to be the best.

The Shakespeare Project

Celebrating in conjunction with the Ed & Hazel Richmond Public Library in Aransas Pass, the Rialto will present "The Shakespeare Project" as Readers Theater live on stage for one weekend only, April 24 - 25. The Library will celebrate the event with cake and punch on Saturday from 11 a.m. to noon when the cast will perform portions of the play being presented on stage that evening and the Friday before.

The Drowsy Chaperone
