The Corpus Christi 7-Day Film Project (CC7D) will be hosting their 2010 Kick-off Party at House of Rock on July 7th at 6:30 p.m. CC7D is an annual filmmaking competition/screening conducted by the Corpus Christi Film Society.
Over 40 filmmaking teams will make a film in 7 days and show their films at a sold out screening at the Harbor Playhouse. It is open to everyone. If you would like to make a film, make one. If you would like to be on a team, get on one.
Filmmaking teams have one week to make a short film from start to finish. The entire process must occur within that 7 days. This year the Official 7-Day Time Period is from Wednesday, July 7, 2010, at 6:30 PM to Wednesday, July 14, 2009, 6:30 PM. The completed films will be screened to the public at Harbor Playhouse on Saturday, August 14, 2010, time TBD.
The CC7D Kickoff is the official start of the 7-Day Filming Period. A representative from each team, preferably the Team Leader, is required to attend. The entire city is invited and each year this event gets larger and larger. It's a lot of fun for everyone, so come on out.
At this event, teams will register, pay their entry fee, turn in their signed Participant's Agreement and receive this year's essential elements (prop, character, line of dialogue).
This is the last chance for those not on a team to find a team.
After all of 'the business' has concluded, the 'starter pistol' will fire which sets the official turn-in time for the CC7D Wrap Party on July 14--exactly 7 days later to the second.
