If you've ever wanted to make, act in, or work on the set of a film, CC7D is the easiest way to fulfill that dream. Over 40 teams will be making films in Corpus Christi from July 7 - 14, 2010, and many of them will need cast, crew, and musicians. You can meet those team leaders, get information about creating your own team, get your CC7D questions answered and hang out with the most talented people in Corpus Christi at the 2010 CC7D Cast and Crew Call on June 23rd at the House of Rock.

CC7D is an annual filmmaking competition/screening conducted by the Corpus Christi Film Society. 2010's event will be the fourth installment. It is open to everyone. Come one, come all!

I WANT TO MAKE A FILM/LEAD A TEAM
If you want to lead a CC7D team, you may come to the Cast and Crew Call to look for crew and potential cast. In order to fully benefit, Team Leaders should register before noon on June 21. Registration insures your place at a table and a listing on the Cast and Crew program for attendees to easily find you and contact you after the event.

If you would like to register, Click Here to email the CC7D crew and provide them with:

  • Team Name
  • Team Leader
  • Address (if you want it on the handout list/map)
  • Phone (if you want it on the handout list)
  • Email (if you want it on the handout list)
  • Website (if you want it on the handout list)
  • What you are specifically looking for (cast, crew, make-up artist, PA, AD, etc.) Be specific.

If you do not pre-register, you may still attend and look for people; however, you will not be listed on the handout/map.

I WANT TO ACT IN A FILM
Team Leaders will be at this event and most of them need cast. Come to the Cast and Crew Call, meet team leaders and ask them what they need. While not required, it is strongly suggested that those wishing to be considered for cast bring 20 copies of a head shot (a simple shot from the shoulders up) with a resume. It is not required that photos be professionally produced. Those with limited experience should at least bring their contact information in lieu of a resume. On your resume, list all acting/film/theater experience, ethnicity, age range that you can play, and other skills you have that would be relevant: languages spoken, musical abilities, etc. Attendance at this event does not insure a place on a CC7D team! It is up to you, ultimately, to make a team connection.

I WANT TO GET ON AN EXISTING TEAM
Team Leaders will be at this event. Many of them need crew. Come to the Cast and Crew Call, meet team leaders and ask them what they need. It would benefit you to bring around 20 copies of a resume with your contact information to distribute to Team Leaders. If you do not have any film crew experience, then list your contact information, education and interestes. See the resources below to assist you. Attendance at this event does not insure a place on a CC7D team

I WANT TO MAKE MUSIC FOR A FILM
Team Leaders will be at this event. Many of them need musicians. Come to the Cast and Crew Call, meet team leaders and ask them what they need. While not required, you may bring a demo CD. It is not required that photos be professionally produced. Those with limited experience can present a fact sheet about themselves. On your resume, fact sheet list all acting/film/theater experience, ethnicity, age range that you can play, and other skills you have that would be relevant: languages spoken, musical abilities, etc. Attendance at this event does not insure a place on a CC7D team! It is up to you, ultimately, to make a team connection.

I WANT TO COME HANG OUT
Come on down. This event grows every year. It's a fun night for all.

In addition to finding cast and crew for their CC7D projects, many local filmmakers will cast various film projects including commercials, short films, feature films, industrial and music videos.

One last time, Attendance at this event does not insure a place on a CC7D team!
The purpose of this event is to get people who want to be on a team in the same room with people who are leading a team. It is 100% up to you to find a team to join or convince a team to let you join. The easiest way to insure that you will be on a CC7D Team is to create a team yourself.

The CC7D Cast and Crew Call is the first of four CC7D events. Following the CC7D Cast and Crew Call are:

1. The CC7D Kickoff Event - The Kickoff is where teams register, pay and receive the three essential elements that must appear in their film. At the end of this event, the clock begins to run for the Official 7-Day Filming Period. This year, The CC7D Kickoff Event is on July 7, 2010 at THE VENUE at House of Rock (511 Starr St. in downtown Corpus Christi) beginning at 6:30 PM. It is free and open to all.

2. The CC7D Wrap Party - The Wrap Party is where teams turn in their completed (hopefully) films. It begins at 6:30, but films are due exactly 168 hours (7 days) after the end of the kickoff event. This year, The CC7D Wrap Party is on July 14, 2010 at THE VENUE at House of Rock (511 Starr St. in downtown Corpus Christi) beginning at 6:30 PM. It is free and open to all.

3. The CC7D Screening and Awards - The CC7D Screening occurs a few weeks after the films are turned in. It is open to the public and sells out quickly. This year, The CC7D Screening is on August 21, 2010 at The Harbor Playhouse. Time TBD.
